Memory
by Jim Evans.

Dreams torn by separation when will they mend
Miles of distance lie between us
When will all this loneliness end

It's your memory, that keeps me moving on
It's the lovin' prayers you pray from dusk until dawn
It's your memory that keeps me movin' on

Visions of you walking softly and standing there by my side
Suddenly I know how much you love me and
I feel a peace deep inside

And when I close my eyes I see you in a dream
Just as real as before
And I know that when the good Lord brings me home
You'll be waitin' at the door

Standing here high on the mountain
And gazing at the river far below
Yes I'm sure there's someone with me
But to look around who would really know
